Hello,
gentle readers! I’m so sorry I was AWOL last time around on Happily Ever After
Thoughts, but I was elbow deep in second round edits for my latest release, A
Kiss in the Morning Mist (Book 2 of the MacDermott Brothers saga).
Silly me, I thought once my son moved
out on his own, I’d have more time. How could I have been so wrong? Between the
day job and taking care of the house and the DH, I’m still as busy as I ever
was and you know as well as I do, there are only so many hours in the day.
Now, all that being said, I’m happy to
report that second round edits were completed before my deadline and the galley
has been proofed as well so I’m right on target for an April 3 release. I even
have my cover! Crimson Romance, my publisher, always does such an awesome
job—not just with covers, but with everything (I’m so happy I’m with them!)
Not sure I’ve told you what this story
is about, but here’s the blurb:
Eamon MacDermott, former
U.S. Marshal, hung up his guns after the tragedy that befell his family at the
hands of the Logan
Gang when they tried to break one of their own out of jail.
Believing he might have
been able to stop the heartbreak before it ever happened, he blames himself for
the death of his brother, his brother’s wife and their son. Not even being shot
and left for dead by Tell Logan
is enough to exonerate him in his eyes…until he meets Theodosia “Theo”
Danforth.
Widowed and running Morning
Mist horse farm with the help of her extended family and friends, Theo befriends
Eamon with her unshakeable belief that everyone needs kindness. Even Eamon. The
problem is convincing him he is worthy.
Can he forgive himself and let the past remain in the past? Or
will he pick up his guns again to face the man who nearly killed him and risk
losing Theo?
And that’s all for me….heading back to
my work in progress—the third book in this saga, Teague’s story.
As always, happy reading!
Marie
