Hello,
gentle readers and Happy New Year!
Well, 2018 is almost upon us
and I’m really looking forward to this new year! It’s going to be a great one. How do I
know? When last you heard from me, I had submitted my manuscript, A Kiss in the Sunlight, to my publisher.
Between then and now, I received a contract (yes! What a lovely Christmas
present!) and I’ve already submitted my first round edits. The expected release
date is the end of February. This story ends the MacDermott Brothers trilogy.
I’m thrilled, not only with the contract (and my publisher, whom I love) but
also with this accomplishment (I’ve never written a trilogy before). At the
same time, I’ll miss the MacDermott men. They were not always easy to write,
but they were definitely worth it!
Now it’s time to start a new story (or
perhaps, finish one I’ve already started…I have so many to choose from, it’s
been difficult to settle on just one).
I have not thought about my resolutions
for 2018 because, let’s face it, I have a hard time following through on them (and I am
not alone in this. Many of us break those New Year’s resolutions by January 2).
Those 30 extra pounds that I always need to lose? Yeah, they’re still here.
Being kind? Yes, that’s on my list and probably always will be. More writing?
Oh, that’s a given. Counting my blessings? Yup, I’ll be doing that, too (I have a lot to be grateful for)!
Have a Happy New Year, gentle readers. I wish you happiness,
prosperity, good health and most of all, happy reading!
Until
next time, remember to spread kindness wherever you go.
Marie
