I’m back with my apologies for not posting the week
before last. I had a pinched nerve that brought me to a screeching halt (and
for a person like me, who is always on the move, doing something, the pain of
not being able to do what I always do was almost as unbearable as the actual
pain...the webmistress of this blog calls me the Energizer Bunny and in many
ways, I am). But I digress…
So, not being able to write (sitting was
intolerable, walking even more so) or even concentrate enough to read, what did
I do with myself during my enforced (and unwelcome) shut-down?
Well, I laid in my DH’s recliner with the heating
pad and indulged in my love of movies. Some I hadn’t seen before like The Mummy
with Tom Cruise, the Accountant with Ben Affleck and Independence Day: Resurgence.
I enjoyed all three very much. And then, there were some of my old favorites:
The Ghost and Mrs. Muir with Gene Tierney and Rex Harrison, Leave Her to Heaven
(another with Gene Tierney), Silverado, Open Range and The Mask of Zorro (love
the sight of Antonio Banderas walking away at the end of the movie…that
confident swagger, those muscular legs, that tight behind (Oh my!)
My convalescence is over (thankfully) so now it’s
back to the writing! And I can’t tell you how happy I am about that!
Until
next time, remember to spread kindness wherever you go.
Marie
