New Release ~ DEFENDING RAVEN by Susan Stoker
Defending Raven
(Mountain Mercenaries, Book 7)
by
Susan Stoker
A missing
woman leads the alpha heroes on their boldest mission yet in New York
Times bestselling author Susan Stoker’s searing Mountain Mercenaries
novel.
It’s been ten years since Rex’s
wife, Raven, disappeared from a Vegas casino. Never losing hope, he even formed
the Mountain Mercenaries to help find her—and other missing wives, sisters, and
children. Now Rex and his fearless team are following a lead to Lima, Peru,
where the rescue operation is greater than they imagined.
A day at a
time. That’s been Raven’s motto for
a decade. Once held captive by an elusive sex trafficker, she has an
indomitable will to survive. But Raven’s not ready to leave Peru. She can’t.
Not yet. Because her liberation from the barrios comes with devastating
consequences. One wrong move and all hope will be lost to an unimaginable hell.
For the Mountain Mercenaries, the
stakes have been raised. The threats are escalating. But Rex hasn’t searched
this long, risked so much, and come this far to lose Raven all over again.

Veronica Reviews: HIGHLAND CONQUEST by Heather McCollum
Highland Conquest
by
Heather McCollum
5 Stars
“Will you catch me?”
“Always and forever…”
Having watched his father fall in battle to the Sutherland Clan, Cain Sinclair has an idea on how to bring peace between the feuding clans…marry the chief, Ella Sutherland. But Ella isn’t one to be conquered easily, and demands her freedom or her death over being married to a Sinclair. But as time passes, Ella finds that the Sinclair brothers are not totally the harbingers of death and destruction as everyone has long believed…especially their leader Cain. Cain and Ella discover that enemies may make for the best lovers, but will their impending union be forever shattered when Cain discovers the truth behind the secret Ella has pledged to keep with her life…
Heather McCollum has become my one click must read for highland romance and adventure! With her start of the Sons of Sinclair series, we are introduced to the brothers Sinclair, whose father raised them as being none other than The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse. Cain Sinclair is a fierce warrior and compassionate lover, and I’ve totally added him to my book boyfriend list! Loved and highly recommend!

A Death in Sweden by Kevin Wignall
Who said romance and death don't mix?
Dan Hendricks plays a role in the CIA most people don't realize exists. His mercenary work leaves him little in life to call a solid background. He likes it that way.
Given the task to find a man who doesn't exist, he doesn't question the motive.
Inger, Swedish Secret Service, conveniently meets up with Dan just in time to save him from the foreign thugs trying to take him out.
Working with a partner is unusual for Dan, but Inger has knowledge and connections that may be useful. He finds her attractive while he can't believe himself for thinking this way during such a critical case.
Inger announces her sexual preference of women in order to keep it all business.
The close calls, people chasing and dying, and their ultimate goal bring Inger and Dan as close as the clothes on their backs. Even closer when the clothes comes off.
The reality of their work and lives is a mountain to cross if they want to admit the attraction and love building amid the danger.
An exhilarating read between the foreign lands, covert work, and dangerous love. I enjoyed feeling as if I followed them, heart racing during attacks and sentimental moments.
Happy reading,
Dawn

But Lexi's first love is romance novels so she married her two first loves, romance and the classics. From hot paranormals to sizzling cowboys to hunks from out of this world, Lexi provides a sensuous experience with a “whole lotta story.”
Lexi is living her own happily ever after with her husband and her cat in Florida. She makes her own ice cream every weekend, loves bright colors, and you will never see her without a hat.
Sometimes being a Pennington can be a disadvantage.
Cordell Pennington considers himself a simple cowboy and he
doesn’t want to be in Hawaii. He doesn’t even want to be on vacation until he
meets Leah Pennington, the manager of The Puanani Resort. What intrigues him is
not that they have the same last name or that they both hail from Arizona. It’s
her habit of vacillating between a professional façade and her personal self
that has him taking notice.
Leah’s breathless moment at seeing a cowboy at the
reception desk is as much caused by concern as excitement. Upon meeting Cord,
she’s happy to help him enjoy his stay, as long as it stays professional. But
their constant proximity, thanks to her job, and Cord’s kindness is taking a
toll on her willpower until she not only finds herself falling for him but even
reveals her reason for never returning to Arizona.
As Cord’s vacation draws to a close, he’s determined to
convince Leah they could have a future together despite the miles that separate
them. But when his own secret is revealed, the ocean between them is the least
of his troubles.
